ChoiceMMed pulse oximeter MD300C23 is a compact blood oxygen meter for blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) and heart rate at home, medical clinics (hospitals, emergency room, doctor's office), exercise and high-altitude activities. MD300C23 is fast and can return a reading within a few seconds. It has a finger chamber for adult fingers; however with care, it can also be used for infants¹ and children¹.
Normal oxygen saturation level range at sea level is between 96% and 99%. The number may be lower at high altitude as the oxygen is thinner.
A pulse oximeter has many useful applications, from general health monitoring, heart attack to hypoxia. Pulse oximeter is inexpensive and should be a standard tool kit in all household's medicine cabinet.
The ChoiceMMed oximeter MD300C23 displays the plethysmograph (pleth), which looks like a sine wave. Each wave corresponds to a heart beat. The wave amplitude shows the amount of blood floating through the blood vessels. Low amplitude means low blood perfusion or poor blood circulation. From the heart rhythm, one can observe various heart conditions, such as missed beats, tachycardia, bigeminy...
MD300C23 can show data in six different directions. The patient does not have to read the display upside down or sideway.
MD300C23 digital oximeter has a big bright OLED screen, which makes measurements easy to read even in the dark or adverse conditions.
¹ For patients with smaller fingers, place the fingernail right under the LED light and keep the finger still during the measurement. If not, you would get a bad reading.
